Founded in 1983 as one of the original advocacy organizations in Fayette County, Georgia, Exceptional Ops (ExOps) offers a full spectrum of high quality local support options so that people with developmental disabilities or differences, and their families, have choices as they maximize joyful and productive lives.
We have helped more than 25,000 families since our inception.

We advocate for policies and programs that benefit people with developmental disabilities, in ongoing communication with city, county, and state officials. We educate families, service providers, businesses, and the community at large with a goal to create a more positive and constructive environment for opportunity, engagement, and support. Our efforts are concentrated on secondary education and post-education needs,

Free insightful meetings with experts who help families navigate challenges and get to know others facing similar needs, become knowledgeable of their rights & services available, and effective catalysts for positive change. We also support the Fayette Special Olympics, High Hope Group Home, Fayette County Transition Team, and multiple Day Programs, as well as assist families in obtaining scholarships for Camp Big Heart.
